WARNING! Improper use of any trimmer/brushcutter can cause serious or fatal injury. Read, understand and follow all safety instructions in your instruction manual. To reduce the risk of injury from blade contact, circular saw blades may be used on FS brushcutters that have a limitstop, a bicycle handle and double shoulder harness and not on FS brushcutters with a "J" handle or loop handle. Other rigid blades may be used on FS brushcutters having a bicycle handle, a "J" handle or a loop handle equipped with a barrier bar. To reduce the risk of eye injury always wear proper eye protection. Always use the appropriate deflector for the type of cutting attachment, as explained in your instruction manual.

Rated 3 out of 5 by A tough starter I bought this a year ago because I put a chainsaw attachment on my ECHO trimmer and wanted to leave it on. The FS90 has great power and is well balanced for long trimming sessions. My issue is that this is far and away the most difficult gas powered tool I own to start. I use the starting procedure in the manual and it just doesn't turn over. I finally had to drop it off this week at the dealer/service center where I have purchased many Stihl products. I'm anxious to get it starting reliably. May 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great machine, very dependable I bought a FS 90r to replace my FS 55r. I use a brush blade and cut some fairly heavy brush. This machine always starts fast (usually on first pull) as it did new a few years ago and has good power. My only complaints are that the strap supplied with the the unit comes unhooked and I have to retighten the screws that hold the gear box and engine to the aluminum tube but not often, they just get a little misaligned is all. Other than that I would recommend this unit to anyone with heavy grass and light brush to cut on a budget. May 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent investment This trimmer works great. It is very powerful and starts right up every time. Haven't had any issues with it. This is one of the best trimmers that I have used. I love it. May 15, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Workhorse I have owned two, one for 2 years, the other for 4 and now I need a new spool and line guides. This is the first time I have needed anything other than energy to cut more. I use them about 8 hours per weekend each. They last long under my abuse. A bit heavy but rock solid.Another great product! May 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use has a great deal of power This has been an excellent buy. It is light weight with more then enough power. I have and will continue to recommend this trimmer to home owners and professionals alike. May 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Trimmer Hands down I work in parts and service at a power equipment dealer, we have many brands. After working there for a few years one thing became abundantly apparent to me the FS90R was the way to go. WOW it is an amazing trimmer, now I truly see why most of my commercial customers have them. May 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great trimmer for a moderately-sized yard I had considered buying the FS-56, but after considering the difference in the features, I went with the FS-90 R. The all-steel shaft was a major selling point. It is a little heavy, but it is a real workhorse. I have a brushcutter blade on it, and it cuts everything from grass and weeds to multiple rose bush to saplings. I would recommend it to anyone who has property that borders on a wooded areas.
